Temporary Bilingual HR Clerk
Pay Rate: $20 to $24
Schedule: Full-time, onsite. Monday to Friday 7:30 AM to 4 PM
1 to 2 month assignment with potential for extension
Location: San Diego, CA
Key Responsibilities
· Serve as the first point of contact for employees and applicants
· Maintain a clean and welcoming front desk and HR area
· Handle and safeguard confidential information related to employee and applicant records with the utmost discretion.
· Prepare, process, and review HR-related documentation-including applications, personnel files, and payroll records-to ensure accuracy and compliance with submission standards.
· Draft, edit, and proofread various written materials including emails, correspondence, forms, and reports, ensuring accuracy in grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
· Organize and schedule meetings, manage mail distribution, and maintain orderly and up-to-date employee and departmental filing systems.
· Support the recruitment process by contacting candidates, administering skills assessments, and coordinating interviews.
· Operate standard office equipment including computers, software applications, copiers, printers, and fax machines.
· Build and maintain cooperative working relationships across departments and with external parties.
· Perform general administrative tasks and additional duties as assigned to support the daily operations of the HR Division.
· Support to HR Business Partner (as needed)
· Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities, including scheduling and facilitating New Hire Orientation.
· Ensure accurate completion and filing of Form I-9 documentation.
· Support benefits administration by scheduling presentations and organizing benefits-related activities.
· Monitor employee compliance with mandatory training via the LMS and follow up on overdue items.
· Aid in recruitment efforts: source candidates, conduct phone screenings, schedule interviews, update recruitment trackers, and prepare new hire documents.
Qualifications
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
· Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish required.
· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred.
· Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a Human Resources office or similar administrative environment.
